Pastor Jeremy Benton has been at Morrice, Pittsburg and Bancroft since July of 2008. A native of Oxford, MI, Jeremy attended Albion College and Duke Divinity School.

During his schooling at Duke, Jeremy served in a variety of ministry settings including a hospital chaplaincy in Honolulu, a rural parish in North Carolina, and a large congregation in South Carolina.

His hobbies include playing acoustic guitar, general outdoor activities, traveling, watching professional football, and eating all types of food (especially free – the

best kind!).

Jeremy is enjoying married life with his wonderful new wife, Rachel, who is also a pastor serving as the Minister of Discipleship at Swartz Creek UMC.

Jeremy is especially passionate about the church’s mission and outreach, both locally and regionally. For Jeremy, spiritual growth and discipleship comprise some of the most important building blocks of a mature, neighbor-centered faith. It’s through our worship that we are turned outward to go out into the world in the strength of God’s love.
